(i) What matters is that prescribed time has passed, not how much time or for what reason it has passed.

(ii) Once time has elapsed the Court has no jurisdiction in the matter unless extension of time has been applied for and granted.

(iii) It is a long observed rule of law and practice that the only remedy available after the court finds an action to be time barred is to dismiss it.
